Legalised cars with foreign plates will receive plates with region 10 code

On 24 February 2025, Bakytbek Sheraliyev, Deputy Director of the State Agency for the Registration of Vehicles and Drivers, said that cars subject to legalisation will be fitted with number plates indicating the region - Region 10.

The peculiarity of such cars is that they will not be able to be sold, donated or pledged.

We remind that the codes of regions of Kyrgyzstan on car licence plates are as follows:

01 - Bishkek,
02 - Osh,
03 - Batken oblast,
04 - Jalal-Abad Oblast,
05 - Naryn Oblast,
06 - Osh oblast,
07 - Talas oblast,
08 - Chui oblast,
09 - Issyk-Kul oblast.
