10/31/2025, 17:43The mayor of Bishkek held an off-site meeting, during which he familiarised himself with the implementation of a number of significant projects in the city.
The first stop on the visit was the Dolon Omurzakov Small Arena. The head of the municipality inspected the facility and instructed that all work be completed to a high standard and on schedule for the opening, planned for November.
Aibek Junushaliyev paid particular attention to the installation of ramps with rubber barriers, as well as speeding up the improvement of the surrounding area. He gave instructions to provide convenient parking spaces for cars, bicycles and scooters.
The mayor then visited the construction site of a modern underground passage and multi-level car park on Chui Avenue, between Shopokova Street and Abdrakhmanova Street. To date, about 40% of the planned work has been completed.
In addition, Aibek Junushaliev familiarised himself with the progress of construction of secondary school-gymnasium No. 23 on Zhibek Zholu Avenue. Here, the mayor instructed to consider the possibility of expanding the project – the construction of a five-storey building with an open sports ground on the roof.
