Kyrgyzstan Airports JSC continues to strengthen its cooperation with leading international operators — BTA Group and Helios Duty Free. As part of this work, a working meeting was held with BTA Group CEO Bülbül Bahar and Helios Duty Free CEO Yilmaz Faruk.
BTA Group is one of the recognised global leaders in the Food & Beverage sector, with a presence in 17 countries and operations at 19 airports. The company delivers a high standard of service by implementing the best international standards for passenger service.
During the talks, the parties discussed current and future cooperation in detail. Design concepts for future restaurant spaces were approved, their locations within the airports were agreed upon, and key operational processes were worked out – from supply logistics to goods receipt and delivery procedures.
Particular attention was paid to expanding the presence of international brands. As part of the partnership, there are plans to open a number of well-known franchises, including two Burger King restaurants, Costa Coffee, Brewmark, Cakes & Bakes and ENZO. The implementation of these projects will significantly improve the level of service and the variety of offerings for passengers.
The management of Kyrgyzstan Airports OJSC has emphasised the strategic importance of developing non-aviation revenue and outlined further steps to scale up cooperation. In particular, the opening of international franchises at regional airports – in the cities of Osh, Tamchy (Issyk-Kul) and Karakol – is being considered.
