07/14/2026, 13:12176 million KGS have been earmarked for the major refurbishment of the building housing the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev.
According to him, the work is being carried out by the state-owned enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Kurulush’. Major refurbishment work is currently underway in the building.
Due to the refurbishment, ministry staff are temporarily working across three different locations. The majority of the staff, including the ministry’s leadership and the minister, are based at the National History Museum — in the large and small conference rooms.
Another group of staff has been relocated to the Bayalinov National Library, whilst the rest are working at the House of Cinema.
The minister noted that this arrangement causes some inconvenience for the staff, but the ministry is focused on completing the refurbishment.
