The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry conducts weekly comparative monitoring of food prices.

According to retail price monitoring in hypermarkets in Bishkek, as of 14 August 2025, there has been a decrease in prices for a number of socially important food products compared to 5 August this year. Vegetables have become particularly cheaper.

Changes in prices for basic food products:

    • Carrots — 49 som, down 15.5% (previously 58 som)
    • Onions — 43 som, down 4.4% (previously 45 som)
    • Potatoes — 45 som, down 8% (previously 49 soms)
    • Cabbage — 27 soms, down 10% (previously 30 soms)

The decline in vegetable prices is due to increased supplies from local producers. Price dynamics will continue to be monitored on an ongoing basis.
