SMEs accounted for more than a quarter of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan

In 2024, the volume of industrial production by small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 156.9 billion KGS, which corresponds to 26.2% of the total industrial production. For comparison, in 2020 this figure was 17.8%.

The share of small and medium-sized enterprises in industry has grown significantly over the past four years. While in 2020 they accounted for 13.1%, in 2024 this figure increased to 20.9%.

The regional structure remains uneven. In the Batken and Osh regions, as well as in the city of Osh, SMEs account for more than 50% of industrial production. At the same time, in the Naryn and Jalal-Abad regions, as well as in Bishkek, SMEs account for less than 50% of industrial output.
