Traffic on the North–South highway is temporarily operating on one lane

Work to eliminate the consequences of a rockfall has been completed at the 271st kilometer of the alternative North–South highway, while clearing operations continue on sections between kilometers 243 and 280.

According to the Ministry of Transport, road maintenance crews, assisted by heavy equipment, are continuing to remove rocks and debris from the roadway following new rockfalls reported along the route.

At present, traffic is moving in one lane, and passage remains open.

As previously reported, at around 5:30 p.m. on June 4, a large rock fell onto the roadway at kilometers 270–271, temporarily disrupting traffic on the highway.
