On the territory of Osh market there was a raid on the issues of improvement, unauthorised trade and cleaning of the Ala-Archa river bed.

The raid was attended by the leadership of the Mayor's Office, the heads of the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Emergency Situations in Bishkek, as well as heads of municipal services.

At a meeting with traders on Toktogul Street, the mayor pointed out that spontaneous trade in fruits and vegetables in unidentified places violates all sanitary norms and threatens the health of sellers and buyers. In this regard, the Municipal Inspectorate was instructed to issue notices to spontaneous traders on compliance with current legislation.

Aibek Junushaliyev noted the insufficient work of the Centre for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, as most food products are sold outdoors along the motorway.
While inspecting the condition of the Ala-Archi riverbed, the Mayor outlined planned measures to clean the river from rubbish with the involvement of special equipment and instructed to carry out appropriate work to free the river from unauthorised objects.
Mechanical cleaning is an important part of measures to prevent floods, improve water quality and create a comfortable urban environment.

During the detour, MP ‘Tazalyk’ was instructed to bring the irrigation network around the market in the appropriate form, MP «Bishkekzelenstroy» to carry out works on lowering the ground for the proper functioning of drainage systems, MP ‘Bishkekasfaltservis’ should be included in the production plan of the road section at the intersection of Toktogul and Beishenaliev streets for its reconstruction.

At the meeting with market traders, the head of the capital noted that when moving the old bazaar to a new location, only people with officially signed contracts and patents will occupy trading places.

Aibek Junushaliyev emphasised that unauthorised traders can carry out their activities legally and only in places designated for trade.

Within the framework of the Bishkek Mayor's order, the municipal inspection conducted a round of the Osh market in the square of streets: Toktogul, Beishenaliev, along Chui Avenue from Kievskaya Street to Kuliev Street. Spontaneous traders were issued notices for one week.
