For comparison, during the same period last year, revenues amounted to 678.8 million KGS. Thus, tax revenues from foreign digital services have almost doubled, or increased by 594 million KGS.
The category of taxable services includes services provided by major global platforms: Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, TikTok, cloud storage services, advertising platforms, streaming services, and other companies providing electronic services to users in Kyrgyzstan.
We would like to add that at the end of July, there were 71 companies paying the “Google tax” in the republic. The largest taxpayer among them is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Ireland), which paid 233.8 million KGS to the budget in the first seven months of this year.
