Tax Authorities to Transition Taxpayer Re-Registration to Digital Format

From 3 September 2025, the taxpayer re-registration procedure will be transferred to electronic format, according to the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. The decision is being implemented as part of the digital transformation of the tax system on the instructions of Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev.

Previously, when re-registering, taxpayers had to personally apply to the State Tax Service to submit an application stating the reason, for example, a change of legal address or tax regime. Now, it will be possible to submit an application online through the ‘Taxpayer's Office’. After consideration of the application, the decision will be sent back to the personal account.

Initial online registration for sole traders and individuals is also available without visiting the tax authorities. To submit an application, go to the Cabinet.salyk.kg portal, select the ‘Registration’ section, then ‘Online application for taxpayer registration’ and complete the identification process via ESIS, EDS or Smart-iD KG. The status of the application and the registration certificate can be obtained on the website. Registration confirmation takes 5-15 minutes.
