01/15/2026, 15:52The National Bank imposed fines on three currency exchange offices in the capital for violating the requirements of the republic's legislation and regulatory legal acts of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The fine amounted to 55,000 KGS for each exchange bureau.
These measures were applied as part of the National Bank's supervisory activities and reflect the general practice of enhanced control over the non-banking financial sector.
According to summary data on enforcement measures taken in the second quarter of 2025 against non-bank and specialized financial and credit organizations supervised by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the majority of violations were committed by exchange offices.
Thus, based on the results of inspections, 24 orders were issued to currency exchange offices, 29 had their activities suspended, 28 were fined, and two had their licenses revoked.
In addition, as a result of external supervision, 149 orders were issued to exchange offices, 7 were suspended, and 8 had their licenses revoked.
