However, certain categories of taxpayers are exempt from filing a unified tax return: individuals subject to the unified tax (rates of 0%, 0.1%, 0.5% and 1%), entrepreneurs operating under a patent in special trade zones, and peasant (farmer) households without legal entity status. From 1 January 2025, zero reporting, including for previous periods, will no longer be required.
If it is impossible to submit reports on time, the taxpayer may extend the deadline by 30 calendar days through their personal account by submitting an application before the deadline. The extension does not apply to reports on indirect taxes on imports of goods from EAEU countries. Penalties do not apply to the payment of taxes on non-tax payments and insurance contributions, as well as in cases of force majeure or a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers to extend the deadline. The State Tax Service urges taxpayers to fulfil their tax obligations in good faith and in a timely manner in order to avoid additional financial costs.
