New technologies in energy: 3D modeling of power grid routes using drones

As part of the construction of the new 220 kV Isanova substation, designed for the Osh region, route studies are being conducted using drones.

This method allows for high-precision aerial photography and video recording of the power line route. The collected data is processed in 3D format, which allows for accurate determination of the terrain, technical features, and possible construction difficulties.

A contract has been signed with the Iranian company Monenco Iran for consulting services, and research and design on environmental and social issues will be carried out in collaboration with the consultant MERCADOS ARIES INTERNATIONAL, S.A.

The use of drones ensures accurate route planning, preliminary environmental impact assessment, and strict control of compliance with safety standards. This method is the first experience of applying modern technologies in Kyrgyzstan and sets new standards for the country's energy projects. At the same time, it increases the sustainability of the region's electricity supply and contributes to the effective integration of renewable energy sources.

It should be noted that with the commissioning of new 110 kV overhead lines planned for construction in the Uzgen, Kara-Kulja, and Kara-Suu areas, the Kara-Shoro, Kara-Kulja, and Karatay substations will be connected to the main Isanova substation.
