Chakan HPP OJSC is replacing power transformers at HPP-2

The Ministry of Energy is conducting a series of comprehensive measures aimed at improving the reliability of the country's energy system and ensuring a stable autumn-winter period.

In preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period, energy specialists at Chakan HPP have already conducted thermal imaging inspections of equipment at all stations;
defective shafts and parts of hydraulic units at the Bystrovskaya HPP, HPP-5, HPP-6 and Malaya HPP have been inspected; major repairs have been carried out on the hydraulic units at the Bystrovskaya HPP, HPP-6 and Malaya HPP, and routine repairs have been carried out on the main and auxiliary equipment: hydraulic units, power transformers and switchgear at all hydroelectric power plants of OJSC Chakan HPP.

Currently, OJSC Chakan HPP is replacing and installing vacuum circuit breakers at HPP-3 and replacing a power transformer at HPP-2.

All work is being carried out on schedule. These measures will improve the reliability of the equipment and create the necessary conditions for the stable operation of the hydroelectric power plants in the autumn and winter period.
