    Kyrgyzstan's First Deputy Premier Attends CIS Economic Council Meeting in Tashkent

    First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev took part in a meeting of the CIS Economic Council in Tashkent.

    The meeting was held in a narrow and expanded format, chaired by the Tajik side. The conference also includes the international exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia and the first forum of the CIS regions.

    In his speech at the closed meeting, Daniyar Amangeldiev noted the positive dynamics of Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade with the CIS countries. He stressed that during the period 2020-2024, the volume of mutual trade between the Kyrgyz Republic and the CIS countries increased by 2.1 times, including exports by 2.4 times and imports by almost 2 times. Last year, the volume of foreign trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and the CIS countries amounted to $6 billion, which is 10.1% more than in 2023. This indicates steady growth in mutual trade and the strengthening of economic ties within the Commonwealth.

    The First Deputy Minister of Economy also noted the stable growth of the Kyrgyz economy, which averaged 9%. In addition, the Kyrgyz Cabinet announced that a list of 128 industrial facilities planned for commissioning this year has been drawn up.

    During the meeting, further measures to deepen trade and economic cooperation between the Commonwealth member states were discussed in detail and relevant decisions were taken.
