07/12/2026, 14:45Competition in Kyrgyzstan’s labour market has risen by 35.3% over the past year: there are now 13.8 CVs per vacancy, compared with 9.8 a year earlier. The highest levels of competition are seen in the security, logistics and domestic staff sectors.
According to Headhunter, the highest competition index was recorded in the security sector — 25.7 CVs per vacancy. Other leading sectors included transport and logistics (25.6) and domestic and service staff (23.5). High figures were also recorded among blue-collar roles (22.6), strategy and consultancy specialists (21.4), and in the arts and media sector (21).
Competition rose most sharply over the year in the transport sector: the number of applicants per vacancy increased by 31 per cent. Significant growth was also recorded among blue-collar roles (up 31.2 per cent) and in the security sector (up 26.5 per cent).
At the same time, the situation remains noticeably calmer in a number of sectors. The lowest level of competition is observed in insurance, where there are 5.2 CVs per vacancy. Figures are also below average in manufacturing and services (6.7), agriculture (7.7) and the raw materials extraction sector (7.7).
Compared with last year, Kyrgyzstan’s labour market has become significantly more competitive: the index has risen by almost four points — from 9.8 to 13.8 CVs per vacancy.
