Almost 17,000 residents of villages in the Nookat district now have access to drinking water

In the Nookat district, in the Kok-Zhar aiyl aimak, wells were drilled to provide clean drinking water to the residents of the villages of Zhiyde, Karana and Sarykandy.

Now, 16,884 residents of these settlements have uninterrupted access to clean drinking water. A total of five wells were drilled and work was carried out at a cost of 15 million KGS.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry has approved a 410-point action plan for 2025, drawn up in response to requests from delegates to the Third People's Kurultai. Of these, 50 measures (12%) have already been implemented, and 360 (88%) are in the process of being implemented.

Most of the appeals concern irrigation (60%) and the provision of drinking water to the population (23%).
