11/26/2025, 11:30The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security reported the detention of a large consignment of livestock intended for smuggling across the state border.
On 26 November, on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border in the Leylek district, in the Ches-Döbö area (Ak-Suu rural administration), a border patrol discovered a group of five unknown individuals. They were illegally transporting livestock just one kilometre from the state border.
During the operation, border guards detained 67 head of cattle, which, according to preliminary data, were intended for smuggling. The detained animals were taken to the border guard unit, where further procedural formalities are being carried out.
The Border Service reminds that all attempts to illegally move cattle will be suppressed, and violators will be held accountable according to the law.
