First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev took part in a European Commission event marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the European Union’s Air Safety List.
In his speech, he highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s progress in reforming civil aviation, emphasising that the reforms carried out had brought the regulatory system into line with international standards and improved flight safety.
Particular attention was paid to the European Union’s decision to remove Kyrgyzstan from the aviation blacklist. According to Amangeldiev, this opens a new phase of cooperation with European partners and creates opportunities for the development of air links between Kyrgyzstan and EU countries.
During the visit, a meeting was also held with Apostolos Tsitsikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism. The parties discussed further cooperation in the fields of civil aviation, transport connectivity and sustainable transport.
