Tez Jet’s licence has been revoked following the incident at Manas Airport

The State Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic has revoked Tez Jet’s licence following an unscheduled inspection carried out in the wake of an aviation incident involving one of its aircraft.

As a reminder, on 7 July at Manas International Airport, an aviation incident occurred involving a Tez Jet aircraft operating the Bishkek–Osh flight, which lost a wheel during take-off and tilted to one side.

Immediately after the incident, the State Agency for Civil Aviation launched an official investigation into the circumstances of the incident. At the same time, an unscheduled inspection of the airline’s operations was carried out.

The inspection revealed serious breaches of Kyrgyz aviation legislation, which, as the agency emphasised, directly affect flight safety. On the basis of the breaches identified, a decision was taken to revoke the air carrier’s licence.

The state agency stated that it would continue to take the most principled and stringent measures against any operator whose activities pose risks to flight safety.

“Regardless of the airline’s name, its history, the scale of its business or its market position, the law is the same for everyone”, — the agency emphasised.
