British Ambassador visits Kumtor and assesses the mine’s operations

Nicholas Bowler, the British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, visited the Kumtor mine. Following his visit, he noted the mine’s stable operations and its prospects for development.

Nicholas Bowler, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the Kumtor mine.

During the visit, the diplomat toured the Central Open-Cast Mine and familiarised himself with the operations of the company’s key production facilities, including the heavy mining equipment repair workshop and the gold processing plant.

According to Bowler, the mine has established efficient production processes. He also expressed confidence in the company’s stable operations and the presence of promising development projects.

Kumtor remains Kyrgyzstan’s largest gold mining enterprise and one of the country’s key taxpayers.
