07/15/2026, 14:41In the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan, production training courses for local entrepreneurs are continuing as part of the ‘One Village – One Product’ initiative. Participants are being taught modern techniques for processing local raw materials and manufacturing new products.
In the Jalal-Abad region, producers are learning to make energy bars from talkan and kurut. In the Uzgen district of the Osh region, training is being held on the production of natural blackberry juice and rosehip syrup, whilst in the Alay district, participants are learning to make honey sweets and felt souvenirs in the shape of snow leopards.
According to the organisers, the practical sessions help entrepreneurs to expand their product range, improve product quality, make more effective use of local raw materials and enhance the competitiveness of their businesses.
The training sessions are being held as part of the World Bank’s KG RESILAND project on sustainable landscape restoration in the Kyrgyz Republic.
