Enterprises with “zero” activity are exempt from statistical reporting

The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan has announced the simplification of reporting procedures for entities that did not conduct any activities during the reporting period. Under the new rules, companies and entrepreneurs with “zero” indicators are exempt from submitting official statistical reports, provided that they give timely notification.

Now, legal entities, branches, representative offices, and individual entrepreneurs that did not conduct financial and economic activities and do not have data for statistical forms can simply send a notification to the territorial statistics authority.

As emphasized by the National Statistics Committee, the measure is aimed at reducing the administrative burden on businesses and improving the efficiency of interaction with respondents.

The decision was made based on Presidential Decree No. 83 of March 10, 2025, “On Additional Measures to Improve the Efficiency and Debureaucratization of the Civil Service,” and Protocol No. 2 of the Interdepartmental Commission of April 15, 2025.

Notification of “zero” activity must be sent by email to the district or city statistics department at the place of registration. This must be done before the end of the established reporting period.
