11/14/2025, 15:47When it came to saving electricity and keeping order, there was a clear goal: to clean up places where people's peace was really being disturbed — nightclubs where groups of people got together to drink, and banquet halls where parties went on late into the night and 200 to 800 people gathered. The president wrote about this on his social media page.
According to him, the practice of conducting raids showed excessive harshness on the part of the inspectors: even catering establishments (including fast food chains such as KFC) were closed, people who were quietly sitting in cafes were kicked out, entrepreneurs were treated rudely, and electricity and water were cut off without sufficient grounds.
"Energy savings should first and foremost begin with state-owned facilities and institutions, which habitually keep the lights on around the clock, based on the principle that “the state pays”. As for small establishments that operate quietly and without violations, do not come and interfere with their activities", — the president wrote.
We would like to add that today the KFC outlet on Yuzhnaya Magistral is closed, and the establishment declined to comment on whether this is related to electricity restrictions.
