03/18/2026, 16:42Ermat Zhumayev, the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Talas Region, and Nurgazy Asylbekov, Mayor of Talas, inspected the progress of construction on major projects within the city.
First, they visited the central mosque currently under construction in Talas. Instructions were given to intensify landscaping work and tidy up the surrounding area. It was also noted that the mosque is being built on a voluntary basis, and possible measures of state support were discussed.
Next, they reviewed the progress of construction on the academic building and dormitory of the “Akylman” Presidential Lyceum. According to available information, the lyceum will be fully completed by the 2026–2027 academic year and ready to admit students. Online student enrollment has already begun.
In addition, they inspected the construction of a 5,000-seat stadium. Instructions were given to accelerate construction work, and it was noted that, due to warmer weather, workers will be working in two shifts. Currently, work is proceeding according to the approved schedule.
