Profits of enterprises in Kyrgyzstan’s real sector exceeded 103.8 billion KGS

According to figures for January–March 2026, the net profit of enterprises in Kyrgyzstan’s real sector amounted to 103.9 billion KGS. These figures were released by the National Statistical Committee.

The manufacturing sector made the largest contribution to the overall financial result. Its enterprises earned 44.8 billion KGS. The second most profitable sector was wholesale and retail trade, with 30.2 billion KGS.

The top five most profitable sectors also included:

  1. information and communications — 5.2 billion KGS;
  2. mining and quarrying — 3.8 billion KGS;
  3. professional, scientific and technical activities — 3.3 billion KGS.

Construction companies recorded a net profit of 2.8 billion KGS in the first quarter. Transport and freight storage generated 3.3 billion KGS, whilst hotels and restaurants generated 1.5 billion KGS.

However, not all sectors ended the quarter with a positive result. Crude oil and natural gas extraction proved to be loss-making, with a financial loss of 181.5 million KGS. The production of coke and refined petroleum products also recorded a loss of 499.5 million KGS, as did the activities of travel agencies and tour operators – 121.3 million KGS – and publishing, television and radio broadcasting – 133.8 million KGS.

The total profit of profitable enterprises reached 124 billion KGS, whilst the combined losses of unprofitable companies amounted to 20.1 billion KGS.
