Production in Kyrgyzstan grew by almost 10% — medicines, food, and cement lead the way

In the first six months of 2025, factories and enterprises produced goods worth a total of KGS 238.2 billion. Production volume grew by almost 10% compared to the same period last year.

More than half of this volume is accounted for by metals and metal products. The food industry ranks second in terms of production.

The country actively produces food, beverages, and tobacco products. The top three also include the production of construction materials, plastic and rubber products.

At the same time, the production of medicines and veterinary vaccines has almost doubled, indicating significant development in the pharmaceutical industry. The food industry has also grown significantly, by 44%. The country has started to produce much more pasta, beverages, and bread. The production of construction materials has also increased significantly. Cement production has grown by almost 40%, indicating an active construction season. In addition, we have started to produce more fuel: gasoline production has increased by 50%, and diesel fuel production by 11%.

Despite the overall growth, one industry has seen a slight decline. The production of basic metals and metal products has decreased slightly due to a decline in the production of non-ferrous metals. However, overall, the industry is showing a steady upturn across the country.
