03/12/2025, 17:41Within the framework of major infrastructure projects of JSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ a complete reconstruction of runways and aprons of Manas and Osh International Airports is planned. To implement these works, an agreement has been signed with the Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), which will reconstruct the infrastructure and upgrade the lighting and signalling systems.
Chairman of the Board of JSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ Manasbek Samidinov familiarised himself with the preparations for the start of reconstruction at Manas International Airport and stressed the importance of quality performance of all works in time and in compliance with aviation safety. As part of the preparations, bases and hostels for construction workers have already been built, as well as necessary infrastructure facilities have been installed.
One of the key elements of modernisation is upgrading the category of lighting and signalling equipment to the third category, which will ensure uninterrupted operation of the airports in any weather conditions. Once the work at Manas is completed, similar upgrades will be carried out at Osh International Airport.
