According to the regulator’s data, the U.S. dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.
The euro fell from 101.8137 to 101.6431 KGS, losing about 0.17%. The Chinese yuan also weakened—from 12.8681 to 12.8522 KGS, or by 0.12%.
The Russian ruble again showed the largest change. Its official exchange rate rose from 1.2004 to 1.2146 KGS, which amounts to about 1.18% over the past 24 hours. The Kazakhstani tenge, on the other hand, fell from 0.1871 to 0.1853 KGS, losing nearly 1%.
The day before, “Akchabar” reported that on May 19, the ruble exchange rate exceeded the 1.2 KGS mark for the first time since February 9, 2023.
Thus, the ruble not only returned to the “crisis” levels of February 2023 but also continued to strengthen, reaching a new high in more than three years.
