Since the beginning of the year, the added value of agriculture has amounted to 115.6 billion KGS

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev took part in the Golden Autumn agricultural fair, the AgroTechExpo-2025 agro-industrial exhibition, and celebrations dedicated to Kyrgyzstan's Agro-Industrial Complex Workers' Day.

First, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers familiarized himself with the exhibits at the Golden Autumn fair and the AgroTechExpo-2025 exhibition. He was briefed on the progress of the events by Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev and business representatives.

The fair is now in its third day. Entrepreneurs, farmers, agricultural producers, processors, agricultural technicians, and large enterprises are establishing cooperation, and agricultural products are being sold to consumers at affordable prices.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev then took part in a solemn meeting on the occasion of the professional holiday of workers in the agro-industrial complex. On behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov and the Cabinet of Ministers, he congratulated representatives of the industry, noting the country's significant economic growth indicators.

"According to the results of January-September of this year, Kyrgyzstan's GDP grew by 10%, amounting to 1.2 trillion soms in nominal terms. The volume of gross agricultural output reached 348.4 billion soms, maintaining growth at 0.9%. At the same time, food processing and production accounted for 40.1% of GDP, and construction for 34.8%. The added value of agriculture amounted to 115.6 billion soms, which corresponds to 9.3% of GDP", — he said.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev highlighted the growing interest of foreign countries in Kyrgyzstan's environmentally friendly products and the increase in export volumes.

"Trade turnover with third countries reached $5.7 billion. Trade with Uzbekistan grew by 20%, with imports increasing by 15.7% and exports by 28%. There was also a 29.5% increase in trade with South Korea and a 17% increase with the UAE. This confirms that the intensification of mutual trade contributes to economic development", — said the Prime Minister.

The harvest figures for 2025 were also cited. Thus, 362,000 centners of rice (an increase of 11.2%), 9.4 million centners of potatoes, 623,000 centners of legumes, and 2.8 million centners of fruits and vegetables were harvested. The area under grain crops was 568,000 hectares. The gross output of the agro-industrial complex for eight months reached 252.5 billion KGS, 2.4% more than a year earlier.

For the first time in the history of independent Kyrgyzstan, 40 tons of alfalfa seeds were exported to Russia and 1.6 tons of pumpkin seeds to Japan. In addition, in the Zhayyl district, tomato yields reached 120 tons per hectare, which is a world record.

Without ensuring internal food security, it is difficult to feed the people. Today, Kyrgyzstan provides itself with six of the nine main types of food. We are actively promoting joint projects within the EAEU: the level of self-sufficiency in Kazakhstan is 87%, in Kyrgyzstan 74%, and in Armenia 67%. Food security is one of the key factors of national security," Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized.

He also reported that 28 enterprises were put into operation in 2025, and 35 more new production facilities are planned to be launched by the end of the year.
