12/21/2025, 20:20Today, December 21, during his working visit to the Russian Federation, President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
The heads of state discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including in the trade, economic, financial, cultural, humanitarian, and migration spheres, and expressed satisfaction with the high level of Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership and alliance that has been achieved.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that this meeting took place shortly after Vladimir Putin's state visit to Kyrgyzstan in November and emphasized the stable nature of the Kyrgyz-Russian dialogue at the highest level.
President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that this meeting had provided an opportunity to discuss issues of strategic partnership and alliance in the interests of both states.
For his part, Vladimir Putin thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for the content and warm atmosphere created during his recent state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian president stressed that these talks allow for the discussion of topical issues of bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that a substantive discussion on the prospects for the development of trade and economic ties will take place with all EAEU colleagues.
Ahead of the holidays, the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia congratulated each other on the New Year and wished the peoples of both countries stability and continued prosperity.
