The KGS ends the week weaker against all major currencies

The KGS ended the working week weaker against all major foreign currencies. According to the National Bank’s official exchange rates, in force since 22 August, the Russian rouble saw the most significant rise – by 1.45 per cent.

The rouble strengthened against the KGS from 1.0377 to 1.0527 KGS. The tenge rose by 0.58 per cent – from 0.1906 to 0.1917 KGS.

The euro rose by 0.07 per cent – from 102.3111 to 102.3777 KGS, whilst the yuan rose by 0.04 per cent, from 13.0082 to 13.0130 KGS.

The dollar’s exchange rate changed only marginally — from 87.4491 to 87.45 KGS, or by approximately 0.001 per cent. In effect, the US currency remained at its previous value.

Compared with the exchange rates at the start of the week, the Kazakhstani tenge saw the sharpest rise – by 1.75 per cent. The euro rose by 1.31 per cent, the rouble by 0.61 per cent, and the yuan by 0.32 per cent. The dollar ended the week at the same level – 87.45 KGS.
