Theatres in Kyrgyzstan have increased their revenue from performances and concerts to 107 million KGS

Kyrgyz people’s interest in theatres, opera, ballet and concerts continues to grow. This was announced by Mirbek Mambetaliev, Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, today, 14 July, during the ‘Open Cabinet’ initiative.

According to him, whilst cultural institutions earned 77 million KGS from theatre performances and concerts in 2024, this figure rose to 107 million KGS in 2025. Thus, revenue increased by 30 million KGS over the course of the year.

Moreover, this positive trend is continuing this year. In the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Culture has already received 60 million KGS from ticket sales for performances and concerts.
