Bishkek checked how the city's infrastructure is being prepared for electric buses

A field meeting on the construction of infrastructure for electric buses was held in the capital. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev inspected the construction of infrastructure for electric buses at DEPO No. 1 and DEPO No. 2 within the framework of the project «Electrification of urban transport».

The field meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, the municipal enterprise «Bishkek City Transport», representatives of the contracting organisation China Road and Bridge Corporation, as well as specialists responsible for the implementation of this project.

During the meeting, the contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation was instructed to complete all construction works on the two DEPOs by 21 May 2025, strictly in accordance with the established contract terms. The mayor instructed to pay special attention to the quality of work.

In addition, the contractor will be responsible for the downtime of electric buses, and all costs associated with this will be covered by the contractor in favour of the customer.
It should be noted that the project ‘Electrification of urban transport’ is financed by the Asian Development Bank, according to the project, 120 units of electric buses will arrive in Bishkek.
