05/23/2026, 13:47A second Resource Centre for Migrants has opened in Bishkek, where Kyrgyz citizens can receive free advice on finding work abroad and protecting their rights. The project has been implemented with the support of the European Union.
The centre will operate under the Ministry of Labour. It places particular emphasis on safe labour migration, pre-departure preparation and raising awareness of the risks of illegal work.
As the centre notes, the main objective is to ensure that citizens understand their rights and working conditions abroad in advance.
“Our citizens who contact our centre receive completely free advice on employment and job vacancies abroad,” says Baktybek Kudayberdiev, Director of the Centre for the Employment of Citizens Abroad.
The first such centre opened in Osh in 2024. Since then, over 21,000 people have sought assistance there regarding travel and employment.
Following this, according to experts, the decision was made to expand the project.
“Seeing the productive work of the resource centre’s staff, the decision was made to open a second centre specifically in Bishkek,” added Kudayberdiev.
The Ministry of Labour notes that the more Kyrgyz citizens who leave the country officially and with proper preparation, the lower the risk of labour exploitation abroad.
