School-based summer camps have opened at 39 schools in Bishkek

School-based summer camps, organised at 39 general education schools across the city, have begun operating in Bishkek. Over the summer season, 4,880 schoolchildren will take part in these recreational activities.

A varied programme has been prepared for the children, including creative workshops, educational activities, sports competitions and other events. The programme aims to develop pupils’ abilities, improve their health and provide meaningful leisure activities during the summer holidays.

Particular attention is paid to the safety and comfort of the children’s stay. All camp participants are provided with two meals a day.

The city council notes that the school-based camps will help schoolchildren spend their summer actively and productively, acquire new knowledge and skills, and make new friends.
