Fines for non-payment of fare in public transport will be imposed in the capital city

In Bishkek city in municipal public transport raids are conducted to check the payment of fares by passengers.

The raids are conducted by employees of the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development together with representatives of the Bishkek City Transport, the Bishkek Police Department and specialists of the unified card «Tulpar».

During the raid, specialists check whether passengers pay for transport fares. In case of revealing the facts of non-payment for the fare, passengers will be fined under the current legislation.

The Mayor's Office reminds that, according to the Code of Offences, non-payment for travel and luggage in municipal public transport, i.e. violation of the rules of use of urban public transport, shall entail a fine for individuals in the amount of 10 calculation indices (1 thousand KGS).

The City Hall also reminds that to pay for the fare by cashless method - by card or through QR-code. If paid in cash, take a fare coupon.
