More than 90,000 Kyrgyz citizens are on Russia's “blacklist”

In November, 91,566 Kyrgyz citizens were added to the “blacklist” for entry into Russia. This was announced at a briefing by the Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, Darmankul Bakyt.

He reminded that new federal laws are in force in Russia, which limit the stay of foreigners to 90 days without an employment or study contract. Control measures include bans on registration, property and bank management, as well as mandatory appearance when summoned by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

To promote legal migration, as part of the “Single Permit” pilot project, 47,686 foreign specialists were issued 60-day permits, and 35,088 were issued 360-day permits. These measures help to legalize foreign labor and ensure the flow of funds into the republican budget.

The ministry is actively conducting information and outreach work among Kyrgyz citizens in Russia through social networks and hotlines. In November alone, representatives provided consultations to 29,915 citizens.

The deputy minister noted that the main problems faced by migrants are related to the lack of written employment contracts, illegal employment schemes, the confiscation of passports, and the lack of housing and social guarantees.
