A zone with a special regime for investors may appear in the Kyrgyz Republic — similar to Dubai

The Ministry of Economy proposes to create a special business zone on the shores of Issyk-Kul with special rules, tax breaks and even elements of English law. The project has been named ‘Tamchy’.

If the idea is approved, investors will be able to open companies with minimal checks, freely transfer money abroad and resolve disputes in international arbitration rather than in ordinary courts. It is expected that this will attract large businesses and boost the development of tourism, logistics, IT and other sectors.

The project is currently under discussion.

Kyrgyzkommerzbank will cover 2024 losses with future profits
