02/10/2026, 17:41A capsule was laid in the Issyk-Kul region to mark the start of construction of a new administrative building for the regional office of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The facility is being built in accordance with presidential decrees and should strengthen environmental control by 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Meder Mashiev emphasised that the start of construction is of historical significance not only for the region but for the entire country. According to him, environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources are a national priority today, and the new building will be a key element in the system of environmental safety and state control.
The construction work is being carried out by the State Agency ‘Department of State Buildings’ under the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The ministry has allocated 79 million KGS for the project, and construction is scheduled to be completed by 31 August 2026.
The new administrative facility should provide modern working conditions for regional administration employees, increase their efficiency and strengthen the environmental and technical control system in the Issyk-Kul region, one of the country's key natural regions.
