In August 2025, a litre of AI-92 petrol in Kyrgyzstan costs an average of 69.5 som. For comparison, in Tajikistan this figure is 92.9 som, and in Uzbekistan — 88.8 som. Thus, petrol in Kyrgyzstan is 25% cheaper than in Tajikistan and 22% cheaper than in Uzbekistan.
The situation is similar with diesel fuel: in Kyrgyzstan, the price is 76.5 som per litre, in Tajikistan – 99.9 som, and in Uzbekistan – 86.9 som. This is 23% and 14% higher than in Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan remains dependent on imports, with about 95% of fuel coming from Russia. Therefore, price increases in the Russian Federation are directly reflected in the domestic market. But even under these conditions, fuel prices in our country remain significantly lower than in neighbouring countries.
