Kyrgyzstan wants to reduce the cost of tinting permits

The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted a draft resolution on a temporary reduction in the cost of permits for tinting the front side windows of cars for public discussion.

According to the document, the fee for registering a permit is proposed to be reduced:

  • for resident individuals — from 500 to 350 calculation indices (from 50,000 soms to 35,000 soms);
  • for legal entities – from 700 to 550 calculation indices (from 70,000 soms to 55,000 soms);
  • for non-residents – from 900 to 750 calculation indices (from 90,000 soms to 75,000 soms).

The permit will be valid for one year and will apply to M1 and M1G category vehicles, with the exception of electric vehicles.

If the resolution is adopted, the new tariffs will come into effect from 15 October to 15 November 2025.
