    186 breeding farms officially recognized in Kyrgyzstan

    The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved a list of breeding farms and ranches. According to Order No. 05/2-17/109 of May 15, 2025, 186 livestock entities have been granted official status as breeding farms and received the corresponding certificates.

    The largest number of farms are registered in sheep breeding (75), cattle breeding (66), and horse breeding (35). The total number of registered breeding livestock is more than 425,000 head, including 52,580 sheep, 14,500 yaks, and 350,700 birds. In the first half of this year, more than 4,100 head of breeding livestock were sold, confirming the high demand and development of this sector.

    The ministry emphasizes that the recognition of breeding farms is an important step towards increasing productivity, improving genetics, and expanding export potential. The state will continue to support farms through training, technical assistance, and financing.
