The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the regulations governing the fuel market. AI-95 petrol has been removed from the list of socially significant goods, the prices of which the state may temporarily regulate. This was reported in the newspaper *Erkin Too*.

The Cabinet of Ministers has removed AI-95 petrol from the list of socially significant goods for which temporary state price regulation may be introduced on the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan.

Furthermore, the provision stipulating the setting of maximum retail prices has been removed from the resolution on measures to stabilise prices for fuel and lubricants.

The changes were approved by Resolution No. 464 of 7 July 2026 and come into force on the date of official publication.

Temporary state price regulation for socially essential goods has been in place in Kyrgyzstan since 2023. In May 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted additional measures to stabilise prices in the fuel and lubricants market. The regulatory mechanism for AI-95 petrol and the provision on maximum retail prices have now been revised.
