08/19/2025, 15:29In 2025, the area of arable land in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1 million 292.9 thousand hectares, of which 1 million 245.6 thousand hectares were sown. At the same time, 40,100 hectares, or 3.1% of the total area, remained unused, which is 1,100 hectares more than last year.
The area used for perennial fruit and berry plantations amounted to 25,600 hectares (2% of the total arable land), fallow land (land left to ‘rest’ for one season) — 2,000 hectares, and protected ground — 64 hectares.
