08/29/2025, 10:54On September 1, 2025, a silver collector coin entitled “Founding Fathers of Modern Kyrgyz Statehood” will enter circulation. It is being issued by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan as part of its “Historical Events” series.
The coin is dedicated to Abdykerim Sydykov, Imanaly Aidarbekov, Zhusup Abdrakhmanov, Abdykadyr Orozbekov, and Ishenaly Arabaev. It was they who laid the foundations of the new Kyrgyz statehood at the beginning of the 20th century, worked on the development of culture, education, and the economy, and fought for the rights and self-determination of the people. For their services to the country, they were awarded the title “Founding Fathers of Modern Kyrgyz Statehood.”
The obverse of the coin features portraits of these outstanding figures surrounded by the national flag. The reverse side features the coat of arms of Kyrgyzstan against a background of a tunduk and stylized yurt patterns.
The coin has a face value of 10 KGS, weighs 33 grams, and is made of 925 silver. A total of 500 copies were issued. Each coin is packaged in a case and accompanied by a certificate of quality.
The coin costs 10,540 KGS.
