10/27/2025, 13:00The annual World Savings Day campaign has begun in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at improving financial literacy and fostering a culture of rational use of personal funds.
The initiative has been held since 2015 under the coordination of the National Bank with the assistance of government agencies, financial institutions, the Kyrgyz Republic Deposit Protection Agency and other partners.
The main goal of the campaign is to increase citizens' financial awareness, develop the habit of saving and effectively managing their resources, and foster a responsible attitude towards personal finances.
From 27 to 31 October, open lessons, lectures, interactive games, excursions, open days, competitions and quizzes will be held in Bishkek and the regions.
Commercial banks, insurance companies, educational institutions and representatives of state bodies will take part in the events.
Visitors will learn about different forms of savings, deposit product options, and ways to protect their savings and invest their funds.
It should be noted that World Savings Day was established in 1924 on the initiative of the International Banking Congress. In Kyrgyzstan, this tradition has become part of the national strategy to improve the financial literacy of the population and develop a culture of responsible financial behaviour.
