06/10/2026, 15:41In Kyrgyzstan, construction of a new 14-kilometre section of the Bishkek–Kant motorway is set to begin in autumn 2026. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.
This was announced by Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Talantbek Soltobaev.
According to him, work is currently underway on a 4-kilometre section of the road from the city exit on the Almaty highway side. Here, the laying of the second layer of asphalt is scheduled to be completed within a week.
The Minister noted that the further construction of the Bishkek–Kant road will be the next stage of the road project. Design solutions are currently being discussed, and implementation will take place in stages depending on the work of the contractors.
