Number of 'Uy-Bulogo Komok' Welfare Recipients Decreases in Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reported a decrease in the number of recipients of the state benefit ‘uy-bulogo komok’ compared to the same period last year. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labour of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Last year, 83 thousand 824 low-income families received this social assistance, and this year their number decreased to 66 thousand 265 families.

This also affected the number of children who received 1.2 thousand KGS monthly from the state. At the end of the current year, their number decreased from 284 thousand 794 to 231 thousand 691 children. As a result, the number of recipient families decreased by 17 thousand 559.

The Ministry explains the decrease in the number of recipients by improving the targeting of assistance and various employment measures, which allowed needy citizens to raise their level of well-being.
