The volume of mineral extraction has increased in Kyrgyzstan

In January–July 2025, the volume of production in the mineral extraction industry of Kyrgyzstan amounted to KGS 36.4 billion, an increase of 14.6% compared to the same period last year. The sector's share in the republic's industrial production reached 9.7%.

The growth was primarily driven by an increase in production of:

coal — by 15.2%, to 1,968,700 tonnes (an increase of 259,700 tonnes compared to 2024);
metal ores (including gold-bearing concentrates) — by 22.3%, their share exceeds 70% in the industry;
other minerals — by 19.3%.
